Surrounded by the English countryside, there is no better feeling than switching off from our busy lives and immersing into the country estate life. Travelling is one of life’s greatest pleasures and nothing beats the excitement of heading off on an adventure to the countryside! With exclusivity to a whole property and not just a hotel room, estate cottage holidays allow guests to experience what is it like in the ‘local’ world!

Country Estate Life…

Dreaming of cooking up a storm in an estate cottage kitchen, dining al fresco under hazy summer skies or warming your toes in front of a crackling wood burner, you have ticked the boxes to estate life! Plus, with plenty to be enjoyed outside as well as in the local area, you will never tire of things to explore just moments from your doorstep.

We all know the feeling of busy cities and towns, packed with people, knowing it’s unavoidable to step outside without being seen, or seeing other people. Some cities never sleep! But in the country, your experience is quite the opposite. Forget the noise and traffic pollution, you can experience pure privacy and tranquillity on an estate holiday. Imagine waking up to the singing of the birds, rather than the noise of the traffic and opening your curtains to the expanse of nature – your holiday is waiting for you!

Here at Fring Estate, we have a range of facilities and activities you and your family can get involved in. With many of us looking to get outdoors during these uncertain and difficult times, Fring Estate could not be better, with many cycle routes, bridal ways, and Peddars Way on the doorstep.

Peddars Way runs through the estate and joins up with the Norfolk Coastal Path, where there are many great options for those wanting to explore the Norfolk coastline – check out our blog on ‘A Walk at Thornham for one of our favourite suggestions. Or feeling a little more energetic and wish to explore further than on foot, guests have the option to rent bikes. We can recommend some great routes and tracks, stopping by a recommended pub for a hydrating drink or a great fish and chips kiosk – there is so much to see and do!

Looking for a little haven of space and tranquillity? Finish your day off with a stroll through the park to the ‘Sunset Mound’ where you can sip away on a glass of champagne as you watch the sun go down.
