Overlooking Fring Estate’s historic walled garden, Gardener’s Cottage is a beautifully restored country retreat for families and friends. Sleeping up to eight adults and two children, it offers generous spaces for gathering, a secure private garden and its own wood-fired hot tub and sauna.
Spend slow mornings around the kitchen table, summer afternoons by the estate pool and evenings relaxing beside the fire. With North Norfolk’s beaches, pubs and villages within easy reach, it is a peaceful base for both exploring and switching off.

Dating back to the 1800s, Gardener’s Cottage was originally built for those who tended Fring Hall’s gardens. Today, the house has been thoughtfully restored, retaining its estate character while creating a relaxed and comfortable place for larger families and groups.
The light-filled kitchen and living space opens onto the terrace and naturally becomes the heart of the cottage. There is plenty of room for long breakfasts, celebratory dinners and unhurried evenings together, with a large dining table seating up to 16 guests.
A separate sitting room offers a quieter place to retreat, while the woodburner makes the main living area especially inviting after a day on the coast.

Gardener’s Cottage has four comfortable bedrooms, including a ground-floor super-king room. Upstairs, there is a family bedroom, a double bedroom and a king-size principal bedroom with its own bathroom.
With two sitting areas and generous shared spaces, everyone can spend time together without feeling on top of one another. Travel cots and highchairs are also available for younger guests.
Outside, the secure private garden looks towards the estate’s two-acre walled garden. The terrace, outdoor furniture and barbecue make it easy to spend warm days outside, while the wood-fired hot tub and private sauna are there for slower evenings under the Norfolk sky.
Children have room to play, dogs can stretch their legs and grown-ups can properly switch off.
Your cottage is only part of the stay. During the summer months, guests can use Fring Estate’s shared heated outdoor swimming pool and bookable tennis court, as well as explore the parkland and estate walks.
The Old Store is also within walking distance for coffee, something sweet or a relaxed lunch.
