Fulmodeston Severals is not a managed nature reserve or a public park. It is private working woodland — and during your stay, it's entirely yours. Tracks and paths weave through it in every direction, suitable for walking, running and cycling. The wildlife is extraordinary: deer, owls, woodpeckers, and the particular quiet that only comes from being genuinely deep in trees.

Carefully restored in 2016, Bear's Cottage sits at the end of a one-mile private driveway deep in Fulmodeston Severals - a 200-acre broadleaf woodland with trees dating back to the 1850s. It is, in the truest sense of the word, a retreat.
What were once old stables have been transformed into a generous open-plan kitchen and living space, with large bifold doors that open directly onto a secure terrace and garden. The woodland starts where the garden ends. Paths and tracks weave through the trees in every direction.
